After being postponed twice, our school athletics carnival finally happened today. It was a good day, most people got dressed up to support their houses and people like me who wanted to have fun did.
I went in the javelon, discus, 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m. I'm also in the 1500m, which is happening either tomorrow or Monday.
I didn't do very well in javelon or Discus, cause I'm just not good at field events. Track events, though, are a different story.
I came 5th in the best heat for the 100. I lost to my friend Loren by 0.07 seconds. Which is really dissapointing because they only take 4 people from 100m to the interschools.
In 200m I came 3rd to Jacqui and this girl called Georgia. In 400 I came second - just to Jacqui. But Emma and Paris, who were in the other heat, both beat me aswell.
In 800m I came equal 4th. Yes, that is possible. Jacqui won, Loren got 2nd and Emma got third. Louisa and I both came fourth, and it wasn't even deliberate! I was behind her coming around the last corner, but then I started sprinting and overtook her. Then she started sprinting to catch up to me and we both crossed the line at the same time! How cool is that!
Mrs Burgess (that teacher who loves me and I hate her) was doing the recording (writting down our names, places, times and houses. You should have seem her face the first time I came up to her with a place card. She was shocked! Her afce was saying, 'WOW, my favourite little spock can run!'. By the end of the day she'd gotten used to me being good at something other than work.
I don't know if I'm in the interschools or not - hopefuly I am, but it all depends on how many events people like Jacqui who got into everything are alowed to do.
I also don't know how Mawson, my house, has done. They'll add up the points and anounce it either tomorrow or Monday.

Retard.
I'm really hate retarded kids. I really really hate them. I know we're all ment to be exceptant and everything, and I would be exceptant of them - if they went to there own schools and didn't mess up our schools. I mean, Clarence is messed up enough already without some stupid retards messing it up even more.
At lunch 2day one of the retarded kids went mental. Someone said something to him and he just lost it. I don't know what was said to him, but he really went off! He started bashing up twwo grade nine boys - both at once. Mrs palmer (who's my English teacher) tryed to calm him down, but then he tryed to hit her too. Thats the story I heard, but even if it wasn't that, it was something else pretty serious, cause they locked us all away in our home rooms untill they could catch him.
Half way through lunch there was an anouncment that we all had to go to our home rooms for an 'attendance check'. It was fairly wierd - the principal, who usually spends her whole life in her office, sent the message over the PA, so we all knew it was something out of the ordinary.
The most anyoying thing was that we were in the middle of a band rehersal. And we still had to go back to our homerooms. Personally, I think we were a lot safer in the music room with Simon (Mr Reade) and Miss Badcock and Sam (a grade nine boy) and Dylan (he's 18 and he helps out with percussion) than stuck in home group with Mrs Burgess. Stupid teacher. She wouldn't even let us look out the window so we could watch them try to catch the retard.
The school had to call the kids family to come and get him cause they couldn't manage to calm him down enough to catch him. It took 20 minutes before they let the school out of lock down.
My question is; If this kid is retarded enough to be a threat to the whole school, then whats he doing there in the first place?

Hunted Down
Mrs Burgess is hunting me down cause I'm smart and I'm not a spok enough for her. I feel like I'm in trouble for not being perfect! How does that work when no ones perfect???
The thing is, She wants me to enter this maths competition that I DON"T WANT TO ENTER. I've told her I don't want to do it, but she keeps bugging me and I have to really try to be polite to her. She is completely going against the bullying and harrasment policy. I'm feeling more harassed by her than I have ever felt before.
So thisafternoon I got a call at home from Mrs Burgess. She wantd to talk to my parents cause she doesn't believe me when I tell her my parents won't make me do competitions I don't want to do. (Mum learnt that one last year) She made me give her Dad's number. And so She has called both my parents on their mobiles, just as if I was a naughty little pest.
And I'm not!!! I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not!!! I am not an anoying pest and I do not deserve to be hunted down. Oh Yeah, and did I mention what fighting with teachers does to your chances of being a prefect in grade ten. *groan* And I really want to be a prefect.
(And I'm on the verge of a nervous brake down)
I'd like some sympthy please! What should I do? Should I enter this competition just so she doesn't hate me and I'll get to be a prefect? Then what'll happen next time she wants me to enter a competition? When do I say no??? I have a reputation that can't afford to get any worse here!

My boring life
My life is very boring at the moment. The only actually interesting thing that has happened in the last two weeks isn't very interesting at all, now I look back at it, but it was funny at the time.
Yesterday in homegroup Jacqui got accused of pulling the chair out from under Josh. But she claims she didn't, I'm not sure I believe her, but it was funny all the same! Josh went to sit down and fell on the floor. plop! he landed on his bum and the whole class started laughing. Then the boys all started saying how Jacqui must have pulled the chair out from under him. But Mrs Burgess didn't even suspect for a minute it was her! And I'm one of her friends and I though she probably did it!
Zac was saying how if he had of been standing where Jacqui was he would have gotton internal cause 'it could seriously injure someone'. And he was sooo mad that Jacqui didn't even get a detention. Mrs Burgess was apsolutely convinced that Jacqui would never do anything like that. (and she would, probably not to Josh ... but you never know) Mrs Burgess even went as far as to say that Dylon probably pushed the chair out from where he was sitting two metres away, to frame Jacqui and get her in trouble. Now I definately don't believe that.
It was funny though, and Mrs Burgess was treating Jacqui like such a teachers' pet that I reckon Jacqui would have preffered the detention ;)

First day of school
Have you guys read about Mikes second day? Well in degrees of badness, mine is one up on top of his.
I got 2 school early and found my friends easily. We talked and compared holidays, wandered round and cought up with everyone. Then the best part of my day had been and gone. already :(
We all had 2 go 2 an assembly next, nothing special, just a sit-down-on-the-floor, listen-to-the-teacher, boring kind of assembly. THEN my day got bad.
Mrs Burgess. Heres some background information. We had her for maths last year, and she spends half the lesson lecturing and she thinks she can connect with kids, but she can't. She likes 2 think that she's our Mum, and that we need to tell her everything, and 2 make it worse, I'm one of her pets. Her other pet is my best friend Jacqui. Which means that everytime there's a job 2 do, even if half the class has their hands up 2 do it and we don't, it's "Hannah, Jacqui, would you mind getting the calculaters for me?" "Hannah, Jacqui, would you please return these books 2 the library?" "Hannah, Trent's been gone too long, would you mind going 2 find him for me?" She makes her demands as questions, but really we have no choice. I wonce got soooo sick of her that I said, "No thanks, Mrs Burgess." But she just smiled and sent me anyway.
Well, we now have Mrs Burgess for 4.45 hours every week!!! And over half the day 2day!!! My least favourite teacher, ruining the first day of grade 8!!! As you can c, im not 2 impressed. But I could put up with it, if it wasn't for the fact that I have her for 4.45 hours, every week all year. Feel sorry 4 me.
We got lockers, and locks (while still being taught by mrs burgess, of course). She would have given us top lockers, if it wasnt 4 the fact that we are exceptionaly honest people, and even the 2nd and 3rd time she asked, we cept insisting that we had top lockers, all year last year. So we got bottom lockers. Im under a girl called Ashlee, who is really short. :( :(
Finaly it was break, and we got 2 escape from Mrs Burgess, even if it was only 4 15min. Oh yeah! Did I mention that in our class room, the desks are permanently in lots of 2. And that I hav 2 best friends. Making us a group of 3? A pair and a loner. Fan-tastic. But after 15min of bliss with my friends, it was back 2 our classroom, back 2 mrs Burgess, and back 2 a life of misery.
We eventually went 2 wellbeing, with Mrs Musket. Shes a cool teacher, and we spent that lesson playing games, Then it was break!!! Again!!!
Science. With mrs Morrow. This is a teacher that has potential, we spent the lesson descussing rules, learning, and what we wanted from a teacher, boring, but it wasn't torture. She has this rubber chicken that she squeeks when she wants our attention, a lot better that Mrs Burgesses method of putting up her hand, and expecting our hands 2 go up 2, which is slightly difficult when uve got your eyes on your work. Eventually she gets sick of waiting and yells. Then we know she wants our attention, and we know to look.
And just 2 make our day worse, we then had SOSE, which is the subject which Mrs Burgess is teaching us, this year. An hour and 15 min of tourture. Then I got 2 escape home. I have Mrs Burgess twice again 2moz, though. For HomeGroup in the morning, 25min, and SOSE in period 2, 75min. :( :( :(
