Holiday Finale

OK. So these holidays have dissapeared way way way too quickly. I've done lots and lots but I really don't wnt to go back to school again. Not ever and definately not this soon. The twins had a sleepover last night, with three of their friends. One of them left at half past ten, cuase she wasn't confident to sleep-over. They were alright. The only time they went too sico was when I was walking them to the Vidoe store. They got out The Goodies, Choraline, Hannah Montana: The Movie and Night at the Museum. I got out Titanic and watched it in my room on the computer. :-)

I don't seem to be doing anything 2day, I might head for the beach later - just to give me something to do. 2moz we're going to visit the Bosvelds cause Mum feels bad cause we havn't seen them for so long. I'm having a sleep over movie night early next week and then we're probably going walking again on regatta weekend! So I'm still very busy!

I've decided that I'm gonna go for a run every morning while I'm at home. I run down phoenix st, along the beach, back along the bike track and then finally head back up phoenix st. I worked out that its just over 4km and thismorning I ran it in just over 20 min. I want to have it down to 18 min b4 school goes back! Wish me luck!

Phase 5 of Holiday 2010

I'm running out of things to call my posts! And I din't want to just be boring and call it Lake Leake. Which is what its about.

We spend the Australia Day long weekend at the shack with the Morleys. It was fishing competition weekend and it was alright. It was only alright cause James was too busy with the fish to take any notice of me. Stupid unpredictable boy. I spent a lot of time fishing too - mostly cause there was nothing else to do and cause at the start of the day I thought I might possibly have a chance of beating James - but I didn't. :-( I caught a grand total of 2 measly little perch. And then I gave one of them to Keziah cause she had a grand total of zilch.

James caught 6 perch. The biggest one weighed in at just over 1.5 kg. There were two other big ones and three small ones. Understandably, he won the prize for the heaviest bag of fish. He got a $180 real and now he's complaining cause his rod is letting his real down. :-) Even so he managed to cast it out so far that it used all his line!

The fishing comp was on Sunday so on Monday morning I was hopeful that maby James had given up on fishing cause the comp was over. But no. When I got out of bed his boat was gone. again.

I was friends with Sam a lot that weekend. Which means I did a lot of sitting inside playing cards and stuff and no where near enough time outside in the fresh air. I'm trying to remember when it was that James decided to stop ignoring me. I think it was when I went over there and they were all (Sam, James and Ollie) sitting in their room watching the Simpsons on the laptop. Sam was sitting on the bottom bunk by herself - but its hard to see the screen from the bottom and its more comfy on top. So I was trying to decide what to do and then James moved over and made room for me on top! Yay!

Then Dad came to get me to go out fishing in our boat and James and Ollie came too! We spent ages and ages catching nothing, but I didn't really mind much, cause James was talking to me again! Ollie got really anoying by the end of it though. I don't think he knows the meaning of the words shut up.

We were trolling past the island and James caught a fish. A trout. A little rainbow trout. Dad made hime through it back cause it really was too small - even if it was the only fish we'd caught the whole trip!

On Tuesday - Australia Day - I went for an 8km bike ride with Ray. It took us just under half an hour. Which is pretty good, I mean, it was 8k!

Then we (me, Ray, James and Ollie) went for a walk arounsd the lake. We really really wanted to make it right the way round - but Dad decided to come find us in the boat before we even got close. We got to Kalangadoo Bay; which is probably about a quater of the way round.

There's a map. We started where all the little red dots are - the shacks. Then we walked round chock n log bay, round Clark's Point, along the Red Baech and then into Kalangadoo Bay - where the other road and boat ramp and everything are.

It was tons of fun and we ate so much junk and we wanted to keep going for so much longer - but Dad made us come back. :-( Next time we're gonna get right the way around.

So by the time we were leaving My weekend had improved tons and I would have happily stayed an extra few days!

P.S. Sorry for the lack of photos. I didn't have my camera out and it seems that no one else did either!

Holiday - 4th Phase

This phase of my holiday was spent at my friend Hayley's church camp. We did lots of cool stuff -
some with the group and some with a smaller group of her big brother and a few of his friends. With the whole youth group we went go-karting and mini golfing - aswell as all the devotions and stuff. Go-karting was the best! I love it! I went really fast and I lapped everyone but one person and I got a bit carried away trying to get infront of her - the only other person who was actually any good at it and then I accidentally rammed this girl who got in my way into a wall...not good. But no damage done! Everyone had just better watch out when I get in the drivers seat of a car...

We went to Tazmazia with Hayley's brother Eli and his gf and their cousens and a couple of other friends of his. I didn't get any photos cause I 4got to take my camera - but it was AWESOME! Its like ritchmond but TEN TIMES BETTER! There's a huge maze with this huge list of stuff to find in it and its full of signs with funny sayings and riddles and stuff on them. Then there's an adorable cubby-house-town which Hayz and I spent half an hour exploring and several smaller mazes aswel! I think you'd all love it and you gotta go there sometime if you havn't already been! :-)

What else dod we do? We went to the cheese factory for free cheese, the chocolate factory for free chocolate, the honey farm for, like, 50 DIFFERENT KINDS of free honey and the salmon farm for free salmon! None of these places cost to get in and there's so much free stuff! How come we don't have anything like that in Hobart? Its not fair! :-(

We went to a shop with 18 rooms! A shop you could very easily get lost on! A shop which seems to sell everything. Its called reliquare and its in Latrobe and its amazing...but I woudn't be able to do it justice so I won't even bother trying to describe the complete and utter wonder of it to you...except for one bit. Theres this platform in the middle of it - I think its ment to be the tardis of Dr Who - but its so cool! Your surrounded by mirrors and every direction you look - even down - all you can see is yourself reflected over and over and over again. It really freaky! And really cool!

Ok. Now for the only thing I got photos of. The youth had a disney themed dinner. So we all had to dress up as Disney character. Here's the photos!

Back row - left to right; Hayz bro Sam as Jaffar (the bad guy of Aladin), Hayz cousin as Louige (the chef of Rattoutuie), Hayz cousin Hannah and Poccahontis, Hayz cousin Amy as Snow white (no duh), Hayz cousin as Pop Eye, Eli's friend Nathanual as Captain Hook (complete with limp), Eli's gf Shana an Mulin, Eli (hayz bro) as General Shanks (the prince charming of Mulin). And then there's me and Hayley in the front!

Eli and Shana with Eli's awsome sword.

Me and Hayley - the good fairy and the bad fairy of Sleeping Beauty.

And finally, my favourite consume of the night - the candlesticks of Beauty and the Beast after they get turned back into humans! :-)

Circus

I started writing this b4 I left for the most recent leg of my holiday... now its finished and here it is!

OK, so you have probably already got the picture that my life is very very busy at the moment. Here's another awesome thing I've managed to fit into my overcrowded life.

I went to the circus with my family 2day!!! It was the most amazing thing every! There were all these incredibly fit, strong, flexible people doing all these things only incredibly fit, strong, flexible people can do! And the managed to look incredibly beautiful and relaxed while doing it!

The atmostphere at a circus is imposible to describe. Its full of excitement and anticipation and awe and I've never felt anything like the vibes a circus gives you!

The clown was really funny. He got the audience involved and was really really funny (like all clowns should be and not many clowns are)

This dood was also a clown tyoe thing but I din't like him. He was trying too hard and still seemed to fail. But my sisters thought he was hilarious.

Now THIS was cool. These guys spun this huge thing round and did all kinds of tricks in it and then one of them nearly fell out! Scary as! cause there not whereing harnesses or anything and they were walking right round on the outside and jumping around and running faster and faster and faster!!!

This lady on the ribbon was the most beautiful, strong, flexible person there. She did a trepise act and a few other thing as well as this one where she twirled and spun flipped around a ribbon strung from the roof of the tent!

And the miniture horses. The only animals the circus has. They were amazingly well trained and incledably cute; but they didn't have the wow factor like everything else had.

Get Munked!

For those of you who don't know, I'm a chipmunk fan. I love the movie, I love the music, I love it all. Every since the sequal's been released I've been trying to find a bit of time while I'm in hobart to see it. And on Saturday I did.
I took the twins, which is cool, cause it means Mum drops us of and pays for my ticket. 'babysitting'. It works especially well when I'm babysitting at a movie I'm dying to see. :-)
Like all sequals (or squeakqules) it wasn't as good as the first one. It was still incredably aborable, and there were bits of good music, but the overall storyline wasn't as good and I won't be able to watch it over and over again the way I do the first one. But I still want the CD and the DVD when it eventually gets released. I won't say much about the plot, incase any of you are hanging out to see it (which i doubt, but it is possible). So I'll leave it at that. Incredably cute!

Holiday: phase three

Hi everyone! We had an awesome time at Fortescue Bay! Everyone who came down enjoyed themselves and the weather was nice to us (most of the time) :-)

Our set-up. Over the 13 days we were there we had a total of 26 visitors. 24 really, cause Loren's dad and bro don't count cause they were there for all of 15 minutes.

Our first visitors were the Greggs. That's Jordy (Ray's bf) and Ally (the twins bf) and their family. The whole family came down for a day on the 5th (our first full day) and Jordy and Ally stayed for two nights. They got collected on the 7th.

BTW - dosen't it confuse you how bf can mean boyfriend and best friend???

We took Jordy and Ally snorkling at Canoe Bay. (the ship wreck in the photo) Its really cool cause its surrounded by weed and then theres a hole in the front of it which is full of really pretty little fish in layers as you look down! :-)

Unfortunately, the water there was really cold so it took you at least 15 min after u got uot for you 2 warm up! So Rachel and Jordy helped each other warm up.

Me and Kez and Ally on the shipwreck. The days whith Jordy and Ally seemed 2 drag on forever. Well, for me they did. Cause I was a loner. And I really really really hate bein a loner. I didn't have recption either - so I couldn't complain to any one who might actually care.

The twins and Ally. Here's something that might interest u - Jordy's got a new nick name - FIDO! Cause he follows Rachel round like a perfectly well trained little puppy dog.

The day the Greggs left the Morley's came. score to me! I now had friends and Rachel didn't. Infact Jordy was the only friend Rachel had for the intire time!

The Morleys came down on their birthdays too. Sam's birthday was on the day they came down and Ollie's was the next day.

James eating a Jaffle. Thats what we call fire-toasted sandwitches. We made lots of jaffels while we were there. I even got one nearly perfect - nicely brown, no black.

Right when the Morleys were leaving the Muggeridges (thats not spelled right) arrived. They stayed for one night but they didn't leave till half past ten at night. Oh yeah - the Morleys stayed for two nights. I don't think I told you that yet!

So the Muggs arrived on the Staurday. My friend Loren came Sunday morning and the Kerrisons came Sunday arvo.

Family photo - us and the Kerrisons. The Kerrisons stayed two nights - they left on Tuesday.

Jacqui. She and her mum came down on Monday and her Mum left on Wednesday but Jacqui stayed for the rest of the time.

Loren also stayed with us for the rest of the time.

As you can see we spent a lot of time playing games. Even on nice days, which confuses me. The only days I didn't play a lot of games was when James was there cause he hates them cause he's bad at them.

More games. Except this time the weather was bad so I didn't mind.

Ok, so thats the people who were there. Now I have to tell you what we did! And we did lots! We went round to canoe bay twice more after the Greggs left; we took the Morley's over in the boat and I kayaked round with Loren and Jacqui. We snorkled everytime we went.

The ski Biscuit. I spent so much time on this thing its not funny. We had it out a total of 7 times and I went on it several times everytime we had it out. So thats a lot of time on the biscuit.
I rode it forwards (normal), backwards and laying down. I layed down on it on the last day the Morleys were there cause I hadn't fallen out yet and I thought I'd have a better chance of achieving that if I layed down. So I did. But I asked Dad to be nice to me, at least to start with. So what did he do??? He gave the motor to James. James! James who hasn't ever driven a boat that powerful before. James who would enjoy tipping me out. I was freaked. I was really freaked. But I stayed on. He went fast and he went around sharp corners but he didn't do both at once which was nice of him. But I didn't manage 2 suceed in falling out.

The day after the Morley's left - the day Loren arrived - I did manage to fall out. Twice. I was sitting normally and holding on and everything but I managed to come of. It didn't hurt - but aparently it looked pretty specky. I fell of every day after that. It was as if falling out once had jinxed me.

We did a lot of animal watchin too. There's a penguin rookery about half an hour away from the campsite and we took people around there three times to watch the parents climb up the rocks to their chicks. Its so cute cause they're always stumbling and falling over. But sometimes it takes a while for them to start coming out of the water so waiting for them gets a bit boring. The first time we went just with the Morley's. James and I watched the stars come out and had a competition to see who could spot them first. I won. :-) We also went down with the Kerrisons' the Mudgridges and Loren (all and once) and again with Loren and Jacqui and Jacqui's mum.
And that's a photo of a seal, not a penguin. we didn't have any penguin photos.

Thats a seal again. We found a colony of seals in the boat and went snorkling with them. Well, me and Loren and Jacqui and Dad did. NO-one else wanted to come and Rachel just stayed in the boat cause she was scared of the cold water and the jellyfish. Seals are the most amazing animals! The have such huge eyes and they swim round you and look at you and do there hand-stand thingys. And they swim so fast! And they come so close to you! Loren and I both touched them.

I went swimming at lease once every day, so here's a photo of us on the beach to finish with! I hope you have enjoyed all the pics of the third phase of our holiday!!!

Fortescue Bay

Our ten days at Fortescue Bay our quickly filling up with friend and family! Ben and Bec and Mike and Gabi are coming down for a night or two, Ray's Boyfriend's family is coming down for a night, the Morleys' are coming down for a few nights, Loren is gonna come down for a whole six days and Jacqui might even get down for a while! Its gonna be so cool!

Dad's taking the boat and the ski biscuit and the kiachs and the boogie boards and the skin boards! And even better - the weather forcast makes it look like we'er gonna need them all day everyday! 10 days on the beach...thats my kind of holiday! :-)

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all my dedicated Blog readers! I hope 2010 is an awesome year for all of you!

Holiday... phase 2

At the moment I am half way through our two frantic days at home; unpacking and washing and shopping and re packing and stressing out (well, thats what Mum does. The rest of us try to keep out of her way because other wise she starts screaming and yelling - even if we were trying to help!)

Anyway, over the past week of so we have done lots and lots and lots!

On Christmas Eve we went up to Launceston to spend the night with Poppy - Dad's Dad. It was cool - we went out to eat at this food court place in Lony and I ate way too much and then we got ice creams for dessert!

On Christmas morning Mum made us stay in bed till six :-( spoil sport. Chrismas is the one and only day of the year that I think getting out of bed at 5 in the morning is realonable. The twins came into my room at half past five anyway, so we listened to Christmas music on my Ipod until six.
At six me and the twins were wide awake and excited and running around screaming Merry Christmas at Mum and Dad and Poppy. Then we opened pressents!
Rachel thought six in the morning was way to early to get up - even on Christmas :-(
She didn't want to open presents and she didn't want to have her photo taken.

Eventually Ray decided that seeing as she was awake she might as well open her presents. She opened her one from me first - which BTW she loved. But she wouldn't give me a hug. Everyone else would!

For Christmas I recieved...
From Mum and Dad -
  • A beach bag
  • An Ipod charger
  • A doona cover
  • A digital photo frame
My sisters gave me -
  • A really cute soft Elmo and a home made lolcats calender (from Ray)
  • Jewelery (from Beck)
  • A book - Grace by Morris Gleitzman (From Kez - though I guess you worked that out, seeing as she was the only one left! :-)
I gave my family some pretty cool stuff too -
  • Ray - a 1000 piece puzzle, a home made Twilight quiz book and a photo of her bf (thats boyfriend, not best friend - though I think its the same thing for her at the moment!)
  • Kez - a sand blasted glass plaque (which I made), Snake by Sols commic books (really cheap of Ebay) and a snake calender
  • Beck - A sand blasted glass plaque, Garfield commic books and a dolphin calendar
  • Mum - An mp3 player and a home made word quiz book thing
  • Dad - A ski biscuit (cause I wanted one) and a fire poker I made in the forge at school - its really cool cause it looks like a mega dangerous weapon.
I think the ski biscuit was the coolest pressant any one in my family got this Christmas :-)
And I'm really bored after writing those lists; so I won't be at all surprised if you've gone to sleep while reading them - but please wake up now and keep reading!!!

On Christmas Day we drove up to Ansons Bay to spend Christmas with my Mum's family.

Mum's family includes my 95-year-old Grandfather who is doing really really well still! :-)

On Boxing Day we were still at Ansons Bay with Mum's Mum (grandma) and her husband Peter. It was his birthday, so he had a cake. My sisters decorated it while I was out fishing - Ray made the cray fish!

The day after boxing day we were still at Grandmas. Ray came out fishing with me and Dad and Peter and together me and Ray caught 25 squid! 25 squid! all on the one line cause we only had one squid jig.

The squid took forever to clean. :-(
We left Ansons Bay and headed to Lake Leake that afternoon.

From Lake Leake we went to fish in the Swan River for a day. We spent around two hours there before we gave up.

It was a perfect day.

Beautiful sunshine.

Beautiful water.

And, eventually, one beautiful, lonely, fish. We oly caught two and we had to throw one back cause it was too small. But the nice weather almost made up for it!

My little sister with her perfect tan and her perfectly flat tummy kiaching at Lake Leake.

Me and the twins enjoying the water at Lake Leake.

My whole family enjoying the water at Lake Leake!
Those three swimming photos come from three seperate days. The weather at the shack was amazing!
While we were at Lake Leake we also spent a night wih Dad's sister and her family in Davenport! It was really cool cause I hadn't seen them for almost a year!
We spent New Years Eve at Lake Leake too. We stayed up till midnight; dozing, reading, watch ing TV and playing cards. Then at midnight we set of some really cool fire works! Cause it was the last time we could leagally use them :-( It would have been so much more fun with James there, though.
But, all in all, I've had a really good phase two of my holiday. The only thing missing was the Morleys (especially James) and they'll be joining us half way through Holiday: Phase Three!
