Holiday... phase 2

At the moment I am half way through our two frantic days at home; unpacking and washing and shopping and re packing and stressing out (well, thats what Mum does. The rest of us try to keep out of her way because other wise she starts screaming and yelling - even if we were trying to help!)

Anyway, over the past week of so we have done lots and lots and lots!

On Christmas Eve we went up to Launceston to spend the night with Poppy - Dad's Dad. It was cool - we went out to eat at this food court place in Lony and I ate way too much and then we got ice creams for dessert!

On Christmas morning Mum made us stay in bed till six :-( spoil sport. Chrismas is the one and only day of the year that I think getting out of bed at 5 in the morning is realonable. The twins came into my room at half past five anyway, so we listened to Christmas music on my Ipod until six.
At six me and the twins were wide awake and excited and running around screaming Merry Christmas at Mum and Dad and Poppy. Then we opened pressents!
Rachel thought six in the morning was way to early to get up - even on Christmas :-(
She didn't want to open presents and she didn't want to have her photo taken.

Eventually Ray decided that seeing as she was awake she might as well open her presents. She opened her one from me first - which BTW she loved. But she wouldn't give me a hug. Everyone else would!

For Christmas I recieved...
From Mum and Dad -
  • A beach bag
  • An Ipod charger
  • A doona cover
  • A digital photo frame
My sisters gave me -
  • A really cute soft Elmo and a home made lolcats calender (from Ray)
  • Jewelery (from Beck)
  • A book - Grace by Morris Gleitzman (From Kez - though I guess you worked that out, seeing as she was the only one left! :-)
I gave my family some pretty cool stuff too -
  • Ray - a 1000 piece puzzle, a home made Twilight quiz book and a photo of her bf (thats boyfriend, not best friend - though I think its the same thing for her at the moment!)
  • Kez - a sand blasted glass plaque (which I made), Snake by Sols commic books (really cheap of Ebay) and a snake calender
  • Beck - A sand blasted glass plaque, Garfield commic books and a dolphin calendar
  • Mum - An mp3 player and a home made word quiz book thing
  • Dad - A ski biscuit (cause I wanted one) and a fire poker I made in the forge at school - its really cool cause it looks like a mega dangerous weapon.
I think the ski biscuit was the coolest pressant any one in my family got this Christmas :-)
And I'm really bored after writing those lists; so I won't be at all surprised if you've gone to sleep while reading them - but please wake up now and keep reading!!!

On Christmas Day we drove up to Ansons Bay to spend Christmas with my Mum's family.

Mum's family includes my 95-year-old Grandfather who is doing really really well still! :-)

On Boxing Day we were still at Ansons Bay with Mum's Mum (grandma) and her husband Peter. It was his birthday, so he had a cake. My sisters decorated it while I was out fishing - Ray made the cray fish!

The day after boxing day we were still at Grandmas. Ray came out fishing with me and Dad and Peter and together me and Ray caught 25 squid! 25 squid! all on the one line cause we only had one squid jig.

The squid took forever to clean. :-(
We left Ansons Bay and headed to Lake Leake that afternoon.

From Lake Leake we went to fish in the Swan River for a day. We spent around two hours there before we gave up.

It was a perfect day.

Beautiful sunshine.

Beautiful water.

And, eventually, one beautiful, lonely, fish. We oly caught two and we had to throw one back cause it was too small. But the nice weather almost made up for it!

My little sister with her perfect tan and her perfectly flat tummy kiaching at Lake Leake.

Me and the twins enjoying the water at Lake Leake.

My whole family enjoying the water at Lake Leake!
Those three swimming photos come from three seperate days. The weather at the shack was amazing!
While we were at Lake Leake we also spent a night wih Dad's sister and her family in Davenport! It was really cool cause I hadn't seen them for almost a year!
We spent New Years Eve at Lake Leake too. We stayed up till midnight; dozing, reading, watch ing TV and playing cards. Then at midnight we set of some really cool fire works! Cause it was the last time we could leagally use them :-( It would have been so much more fun with James there, though.
But, all in all, I've had a really good phase two of my holiday. The only thing missing was the Morleys (especially James) and they'll be joining us half way through Holiday: Phase Three!
