Interschool

I got in! Crosscountry! So I get a whole day of school to run for 20 minutes or so and Jacgui and Loren and Ellen and Louisa are all going and its gonna be awesome! I came sixth - just. Emma almost beat me. And they only take six, so I really only just got in!

Freedom

I had an awesome Saturday yesterday. Apsolutely awesome! I rode my bike round to Loren's and then we (me, Jacqui and Loren) spent the morning at Loren's and then went walkabout in the afternoon.

We rode our bikes down to Howrah Primary and played on their ovals. We played bike-tag and wall soccer and piggy in the middle and had a frizbee throwing comp. We found their swings and spent a while on them. Then we were so thirsty and we were sick of looking for nonexistent taps round the school, so we went up to Shorline and bought some lemonade and chocolate and had a picnic on the beach. We must have looked like such bogans - three teenagers sitting on the beach handing round a bottel. They wouldn't have known we were just a few nice kids drinking lemonade!

I love Hobart. Its such a perfect city. Its got everything you need - shops, entertainment, everything. And wide open spaces. Parks, ovals, beaches, a mountain! :) We talked about that yesterday. We talked lots.

And it was the kind of day that I normally only get at Lake Leake or Fortescue or somewhere. The kind of day when you feel so alive and happy and FREE! Yesterday was awesome! :)

Results

Stage Band came second, but only cause friends had a singer. The aduticater went SINGER!!! tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick and they won, even though there band was really sloppy and we played tons better according to the everyone...except the aduticater :-(

Concert Band prob came about third, but we don't really know. They only give out first and second. But again, everyone said we were good. Hobart Wind symph won and Ogalvie came second. Stupid Ogalvie girls. Simon had them all actually singing their tunes in one section. And they were all in harmony and it sounded really good and the aduticator went tick happy again and they beat us :( But at least they deserved it!

The next event on my calender: Arts Evening on thursday :)

Estedfords

Estedfords tomorrow! Clarence is only in three sections - with Junior Concert, Senior Concert and Senior Stage. Junior Stage is too embarrasing, so Mac decided they couldn't compete ;)

I'm in both Senior groups and we're gonna win! We have to win! Especially Stage. We're in a section of three - us, Friends and Newtown. Newtown should be sinch and Freidns is only one of the most expensive schools in Hobart. You know, no biggy!

Concert's got a good chance too. Except we've got a really bad history of forgetting everything we've worked on when we get to estedfords. One of the pieces we're playing is absolutely awesome, so if we can pull that off, Mac reckons we're in with a shot.

Eclipse

I went and saw Eclipse with Jacqui and Loren today. It was good; about as good as teenaged vampire movies are ever going to be. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't an amazing movie. Just a chick flick :-)

The only problem with it was that there was too much kissing. Actually, rephrase that. Too much of Edward and Bella kissing. She should have kissed Jacob more. Jacob's HOT.

It stuck pretty close to the book, but in a few places it really started to drag. But oh well. I thought it was worth watching :-)

Smile!

I'm in a happy mood today. I don't really know why, but its good. It's sunny and warm (for tassy anyway) and I had a really good music withdrawal last period. And it was with all da grade 10s and Simon made me play music I'd never seen before and I didn't fail too much :-) and Sam said that I'm gonna have to play 1st trombone in concert band next year and I said I'm gonna be playing 1st flute and then Cris said I'm gonna be the best at both so I'll have to do both. Like, at the same time. Which is kinda stupid, seeing as I'm actually good at flute, whereas at trombone there just isn't anyone else. But yeah, I was the only grade nine there and I felt really included which makes me feel special cause back when I was in grade 7 these people used to hate me!

I'm happy today! :-)

Party time!

It was my Bday a while back, and I had a chocolate party on Saturday nite! We did an amazing race thing round Howrah and Bellerieve, then went back to my place for games and food! It was awesome! I decorated the garage really well, with blankets and streamers and fairy lights and everything! I even vaccumed it :-)

My team came third in the Amazing Race. It was really close between us and Ellen's team the whole way, but then Hayley's team went and found there last clue and won, while the two of us kept searching for ages. We only lost in the final sprint up the hill! Jacqui and Loren lost cause we sent then the long way :-)

Back at my place - Pass the Parcel. On each layer was a dare. Here is louisa opening the parcel with her mouth!

The last layer - 'Give the parcel to the person who can do the best chicken dance' Kelsey won :-)

This was a chocolate taste test game. Like on MasterChef when they have to taste the herbs. Except your in pairs and one of you can only look and the other can only taste. Loren and Lucinda (in this pic) struggled the most!

And here you have the good old chocolate eating game! Roll a six and you can stuff yourself full of chocolate!

Plus you have to wear funny clothes and use a knife and fork!

Jacqui.

This one was good. Chocolate moose eating! The thought of moose is still making my friends feel sick! In this round you had to shovel moose into your partner's mouth while they shovelled it into yours.

Messy? Totoally!

Round two! The members of the two winning teams played off as individuals. But with no spoons! This photo makes Mum feel sick ;-)

Smarties + Straws. You have to move smarties from one end of the room to the other but you can only touch them with a straw.

Lucinda was awesome at this! I think she's done it before!

Isn't that a cool cake? And the smell of it! So chocolatey...

Hayley and Alicia (these are people photos now)

Loren and Lucinda

Liana

Lots of 'L' names here!

Ellen. Thats nearly an 'L' name!

Liana, Hayley, Jacqui and Ellen :-)

Group photo - The theme is feet.

P.S. you might remember Ellen - she's the one Jarvo through a water bomb at on Grade 8 camp. You might remember Kelsey too - she was there aswell!

Birthdays, Band and Bikes

Well, here I am. Back in Tassie. Back in the world of cold and rain and disfunctional sunshine that doesn't make you warm. *sigh*

It was Mum's Bday on Wednesday, and she had a really good day (I think). I got her Boggle (which she's now addicted to) and a little box which said 'Why we love you...' and contained messages from her friends and family. Thx to anyone reading this who contributed! :-) I also took the others shopping, and Beck got her an ABBA CD (cause she got so excited wheneva I played ABBA in the car in Queensland :-), Kez got her a crossword book and Ray got her a scrabble dictionary.

Its my Bday 2moz! 15! It sounds so old, but on the other hand its not that special. It doesn't let you do anything much. It doesn't let you drive or drink or anything. It just means things cost me more (like the cinema) :-(. But it does mean I get pressants! And a party! My party's on Saturday and Its chocolate themed. We're gonna play The Amazing Race round Howrah and Bellerive and then come back here for food and party games :-) Its gonna be so much fun!

We're back at school, and Mac's making us have 2 band rehersals every week, so we're really good for NZ. The extra one last week was at 7:30am! But just about everyone was there, and we worked really well, so I guess we'll do some more of them! Apparently Newtown does them once a week! Poor Newtown Boys! It was so wierd though, going from band to school! And I was a bit tired all day, but who really cares.

And I couldn't play Trombone all week last week. Cause of my elbow.

On Monday, so thats the day after we got back from Queensland, it was a public holiday. We went for a BBQ at Talosa St park with the Walkers (Jacqui's family) and the Franks (friends of Jacqui's family's). There's this massive mountain bike park that we went and rode round and it was awesome and I didn't fall off! Yay! But then we went riding around the bitumen road to visit all the little playgrounds. And then I did fall off.

I was going down a hill, and I was coming up to a speedhump. I was slowing down for it a bit, but then I hit it. And my tire burst. And I flew over the handle bars and hit the ground on my stomache and totally winded myslef and slid for a few meters before I stopped. It looked so specky! But Bernard was the only one who saw, cause the other were all up infront.

Anyway, apparently the look on my face was like, 'oh. I fell off.' Like it was enevitable. And at first it was cool. Like, nothing hurt and I'm always fine so I assumed it'd be the same. Then I looked at my hand. Blood. someone pointed out me elbow. Blood. I looked at my top (It was a really nice purple one with butterflies) Holes! And my jeans! Holes! I was devistated. But then I started to hurt. My grazes started stinging. My shoulder started throbbing. My knee started doing a wierd mixture of both. I must have landed so badly! But I'm getting better now. Just about everything's scabbed over and my shoulder's fine again. But for a few days there everything was very painful!

Queensland!!!

I could write pages and pages on this holiday! It was so much fun! But don't worry, I'm not going to. I'm just gonna give you pages and pages of photos with the occasional few words :-)

Sun!
Wet'n'Wild
The eight racer. A ton of fun cause we can all do it at once! :-)

Spa. :-) Pretty self explanitry

The Black hole. A twisted slide which is pitch black in places, but other wise lame.

The Jetstreams. Which only me and Dad and Ray went on. So much adrenaline! Its and almost verticle drop! Argh! But oh its good!

Mammoth Falls. One of the two rides scardy cat Kez went on. :-)

The Green Slides. The other ride Kez went on. Just like the tassie waterslides except longer.

Sea World

The dolphin show. Absolutely amazing! So good we went twice :-)

Rides. This was coming out a massive water slide ghost train thing. I don't know how Dad got that shot, but its good!

Our first rollercoaster! With a loop the loop and all! Can you find us? (Me Ray Mum and Dad)

Elmo! At Seasame St Beach - the Sea World kid's park.

You gotta love merry-go-rounds!

Relax Day

Tennis. Which I'm better at than everyone but Dad :-)

Swimming

Brisbane

Story Bridge
ScienceCentre
Our Alice in Wonderland experience. First we were tiny...

Then we were giants!

Movie World

Lol! This sign was on the road on the way to Movie World :-) No Joke! I just had to get a photo

Now THIS is a good rollercoaster. The Superman Escape - the best rollercoaster in the southern hemisphere. And not under rated. You accellerate from 0-100 in two seconds, experience a g-force of possitive 4.2 and negative 1. And we went on it so many times! We even managed to get Mum on it! But not the twins :-(

Wild West Falls. Again, no Kez. She was our official theme park photographer.

Hollywood Stunt Drivers. The best car show EVA! And I'm not even into cars! It was absolutely amazing! And the special effects! Unbelievable.

The Batwing. A VERY high poll, which you shoot to the top of and then come back to the base. Serious loss of stomache :-) Beck came on this one too!

Tangalooma - Brisbane's Island Resort

We went over to pretend we were rich for the day :-) Its on Morton Island, wich is the world's third largest sand Island. Its 98% sand! That's my kinda place!

Sand Tobbogganing. You fly down the sadn on your belly - like a penguin on the ice.

Me!

Volleyball. Which fails even more than Tennis :-)

And before we left, we hand fed some wild dolphins.

Australia Zoo

Mum feeding an elephant.

Otters! I want one!

Red Panda. Almost as good!

Tigers!

Nathan's

Keziah feeding the calf :-)

Great Barrior Reef

About to head out snorkelling from the Fantasea reef pontoon.

Parrot fish! (We borrowed an underwater camera from Dad's work)

Butterfly fish

Snorkelling on the reef

And here we are!

Airlie Beach

I felt the need to ware all my new clothes at once - both the beanie and the sorong :-)

Parrot feeding at our Holiday Park

Ok guys. This is Airlie Lagoon. Airlie Beach's waterfront pool. Its beautiful - and a perfect place to play withthe underwater camera :-)

I took that one!

There it is - Airlie Lagoon. We came here every day we spent around Airlie Beach. We just coudn't stay away!

Our Boat Day

We hired a boat to tour round the Whitsunday Islands ourselves. Snorkelling and fishinf and doing whatever else we felt like. That's Dad.

Our reef we found that was so much better than where we were on the Great Barrior.

Whitehaven Beach. One word - beautiful.

Us on Whitehaven Beach.

Kez getting back to the boat from Whitehaven Beach without getting herself (or my sorong) wet

Swimming off the boat.

Fun!

Shute Harbour

We explored, went for a bit of a bushwalk and found this vine swing! :-)

Mackay

Kez found her soul mate. :-)
We only stopped here for lunch on our way to Townsville.

Townsville

Main Purpose: See Matthew and Liz.

Townsville from the lookout. Me and Mum and Matthew in the corner.

The Strand's waterfront pool! Very dissapointinf after Airlie Lagoon, though. The water wasn't anywhere near as beautiful and clear.

A big red rope thing along the Strand :-)

And finally - The Fountain Park.

I hope you've enjoyed our Queensland Holiday - I certainly did! :-)
