My boring life

My life is very boring at the moment. The only actually interesting thing that has happened in the last two weeks isn't very interesting at all, now I look back at it, but it was funny at the time.

Yesterday in homegroup Jacqui got accused of pulling the chair out from under Josh. But she claims she didn't, I'm not sure I believe her, but it was funny all the same! Josh went to sit down and fell on the floor. plop! he landed on his bum and the whole class started laughing. Then the boys all started saying how Jacqui must have pulled the chair out from under him. But Mrs Burgess didn't even suspect for a minute it was her! And I'm one of her friends and I though she probably did it!

Zac was saying how if he had of been standing where Jacqui was he would have gotton internal cause 'it could seriously injure someone'. And he was sooo mad that Jacqui didn't even get a detention. Mrs Burgess was apsolutely convinced that Jacqui would never do anything like that. (and she would, probably not to Josh ... but you never know) Mrs Burgess even went as far as to say that Dylon probably pushed the chair out from where he was sitting two metres away, to frame Jacqui and get her in trouble. Now I definately don't believe that.

It was funny though, and Mrs Burgess was treating Jacqui like such a teachers' pet that I reckon Jacqui would have preffered the detention ;)

  1. Those kind of stunts can be funny if you are not the one sitting down hard on their coccyx (tailbone). It can actually cause damage. Rob did it to grandma years ago and it was an awful long time before she stopped lecturing him and he was just having some fun.
Strange how liking someone can make you a bit one eyed, like your teacher. Still it is possible that it was simply a silly accident and the boy just misjudged his seat. I have done that myself, thankfully I caught myself before sprawling in an undignified heap on the floor. I have also fallen off a park bench backwards down a hill, much to the delight of my family. No wonder so many of the videos on Funniest Home videos are of falls. LOL

  2. Boys never look where they are sitting. One random guy actually sat on me accidentily in a Chem lecture once. My friend was with me and she yelled at him, but I just thought it was funny.

  4. I WAS very funny; and how come it always seems so funny to us when people nearly get hurt? It diesn't seem very nice that we find other people's misfortune funny.

  6. When we were kids we were allowed to eat tea in front of the TV (because Grandma has alway's preferred to sit in the loungeroom rather than at the table)and there was always a fight for the best chair with the best TV viewing position. I still remember getting a hiding for leaving my tea on a chair to "bags" it and then Ben sitting on my tea! Our male counterparts definitely don't look where they are about to sit! Ben was watching the TV as he walked backwards and plonked into the seat!

One of the reasons I remember this is because injustices are often remembered. I got the hiding for leaving my tea on the seat, not Ben for being stupid enough it not to look before sitting down!
